The Alocasia belongs to the arumesk family, the Arceae, Just like Aglaonemas, Anthuriums, Caladiums, Monsteras, Philodendrons and Syngoniums.
This beautiful species comes from the (sub) tropical areas in Asia and East Australia.
A well-known nickname of Alocasias is also the "elephant ear", derived from the shape and large of the leaves. We regularly offer these types of rare house plants on Plantique.
