We largely work by hand. This contributes to delivering plants with the right quality. We regularly and thoroughly check the plants during the processing process. This causes the average processing time to vary. The indication of shipping times are therefore excluding processing time.

Description:

One of the houseplants that is  indispensable in a true collection nowadays is the Alocasia frydek. With its fresh green velvet leaves with beautiful white veins, it is a true eye-catcher in the (living) room. Even more special and beautiful is the aurea version, which has a yellow/light green variation on the leaf.

The care for the Alocasia frydek variegata aurea is the same as for the green version, but as always, the parts of a plant with variegation are more sensitive than the green parts of the plant. This can manifest itself, for example, in brown spots when the plant is under stress. To keep the plant as stress-free as possible, it is important to care for it as well as possible to keep it as healthy as possible.

Alocasia frydek variegata aurea enjoys a spot with plenty of daylight, but does not like the full sun. The leaves burn easily when the light is too bright. As far as potting soil is concerned, it prefers a mixture that easily drains oxygen and water. To get a well-drained soil, you can mix potting soil with perlite or bark. When the top layer of soil is drying out, you can slowly water it. The soil should not dry out completely nor should it stay too wet, it should be slightly moist. In summer, this plant may be given more water than in winter, because plants in the growing season need water to produce energy. In the summer, fertilizer may be added to the water to give it an extra helping hand.
